ABOUT ME
I did my first degree in physiotherapy, graduating in 1994. As a student and early in my NHS career, I came across acupuncture being used in hospitals and healthcare settings and was struck by its beneficial effects. After experiencing its benefits first hand and with a background of broad experience across various medical and healthcare settings, I realised I wanted to widen my skillset so that I could offer this powerful treatment to others. I decided I wanted to dive as fully as possible into the study of acupuncture and completed the 4 year MSc level course in Acupuncture at the Northern College of Acupuncture, one of the most rigorous and respected courses in acupuncture in the UK, graduating and becoming a practising member of the British Acupuncture Council in 2002. I have practiced acupuncture both in NHS and private settings since this time.

• Experience working alongside Clinical Psychologists within a pain management setting, helping people to manage and live well with persistent pain and long term health conditions
• Special interest in breathwork and mindful movement practices
• Zen meditation teacher
I also work as a volunteer for the Archer Project in Sheffield, offering acupucture and support to project beneficiaries.
In my spare time I enjoy walking in the woods, on the moors and in the Peak, spending time with my family, friends and cat, painting, playing the piano, meditating and singing in a local choir.

Certificate in introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
