WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE?

Acupuncture is a comprehensive system of treatment which involves stimulating acupuncture points with the use of very fine needles.

 

Acupuncture is now viewed as a mainstream intervention rather than an alternative medicine, with a large base of robust, peer reviewed and evidence based research: BAcC, BMASNICE.

It is used in the management of many conditions in hospitals and healthcare settings throughout the world.

It is known that acupuncture effects changes in the immune, hormonal, muscle, joint, respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous system functioning. It can have specific effects on the body's various organ systems. 

Acupuncture makes use of mapped connections and pathways throughout the body, using specific points to effect change and to encourage healthy function and balance within the interconnected body-mind.
